Specializing in thematic design marketing to enhance organizational goals and metrics inspired her first book. Her series of books, publications, and scriptwriting on event marketing followed and have sold worldwide (including Japan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Australia) to professional event planners representing the likes of Disneyland Hotel, MGM Grand, Harvard Business School, NBC, and TV Guide. Her Party Creations Book of Event Design was used as a textbook supplement in George Washington University's Professional Certificate in Event Management program and in California junior colleges. It was nominated for the Esprit Award of the International Special Events Society for “Best Industry Contribution” in 1995.

Passionate about the small Colorado town she now calls home with her husband, Kring has spent recent years sleuthing and writing stories of the town’s characters and places of intrigue. Kring's A Stroll through Elmwood: Brighton's Stories Told in Stone and Brighton's "Sugar Sweet" Times: Memories of Our Sugar Beet Days and Great Western Sugar (GWS) Factories have been utilized by Colorado educators to develop 2nd & 3rd grade curriculum and used during classroom studies and learning activities. Her GWS book served as a catalyst for placing Brighton's GWS factory on the 2016 Colorado Preservation, Inc. "Most Endangered Places List," This book has also been used as a graduate thesis reference and by two museums for exhibit interpretation.

Kring also co-led a team to document and photograph the historic Brighton Great Western Sugar Factory, as one of Colorado's most complete remaining sugar complex sites, before two of its buildings were demolished for safety reasons. She is a local history speaker, museum docent, and a frequent tour guide presenter. Kring enjoys writing and volunteering for the local museums and has served two separate terms on the Brighton Historic Preservation Commission,

The Brighton Historic Preservation Commission (BHPC) awarded Kring the Historic Preservation Brick Award in Dec. 2023 in recognition of her efforts to encourage interest and preserve Brighton’s history and treasured places, and helping to generate community pride and heritage.

Kring served on the 2015 team to help write the Brighton Strategic Cultural Plan. She later served on the Brighton Cultural Arts Commission (BCAC) where wrote a Marketing Plan and help draft procedures. In 2023, Kring wrote the Background Histories for the BCAC murals “Historic Brighton at Founders Plaza" by Hans Joseph Geist and in 2024 she wrote the accompanying essays on the "Brighton's Women of Inspiration" mural by Frank Garza. The Brighton Cultural and Arts Commission (now known as Brighton Cultural Arts Connection) awarded Kring the distinction of the "2024 Master of Literary Arts" in 2024 for her writings and community service.
Loving everything old from books to manners, Kring is fascinated with Victoriana and enjoys writing and speaking on the subject. Never meeting anything she didn’t like to write, Kring’s portfolio of publications has also included technical manuals for instrumentation operation and maintenance, “Miss Marple Wanna-Be” fiction, and home-study business courses.
