I admit I’m enchanted with English teatime, castles, and jeweled crowns. And, yes, I even own my own “wanna-be” tiara.

Filled with Inspiration of a Life of Service to Country

I have been deeply touched by the selfless example of lifetime devotion and service of Her Majesty the Queen to her country. Equally so, I am inspired by the lifetime dedication shown by the new Monarch, King Charles III. His long journey from childhood to adulthood in preparation for the role of monarch has exemplified a similar service to country.

Among the drama of a very human life played out before the world, his passions for the environment, preservation, and climate change have reached across the globe. The Prince's Trust has not only made a positive impact providing 1,000,000 young people to date with free courses to start new careers, but encourages other non-profit volunteers with a successful hard-work example.

Up Before Dawn to Watch a Day of Coronation History

I confess to the allure of pomp and circumstance of the upcoming Coronation of King Charles III. And, yes, I plan to rise before sunrise this Saturday, along with millions in the U.S., and across the globe, to watch the televised broadcast.

I confess I'll most likely wear my pajamas "to the ceremony," but I may add my tiara to dress it up a bit for this special occasion.

Plans for Toasting a King

English tea and biscuits (that is cookies for those of us in the U.S.) seems appropriate for a refreshment following the service. But, like the Brits, I plan to make it a weekend celebration. This is includes a special toast to the King with one of his favorite drinks, the 50/50 Martini.
